The project focused on creating a professional, accessible, and SEO-friendly site for a psychotherapy and wellness practice. The goal was to communicate the organization’s services in a clear, trustworthy way while keeping the design simple, modern, and approachable.

Design Overview

The design is deliberately calm and professional, with a muted palette and clean typography. It avoids clutter while ensuring that important information (services, contact, about the practice) is easy to find in just one or two clicks.

Technical Implementation

• Built with a lightweight static-first architecture for performance
• Hand-optimized assets (fonts, images, metadata) to ensure fast load times
• Structured metadata and page titles for SEO improvements
• Custom responsive layout to look great across desktop, tablet, and mobile

Challenges

One challenge was balancing professional tone with approachability. Mental health websites can easily feel too clinical or too casual. I worked iteratively to find a design that felt welcoming, but still authoritative and trustworthy.

What I Learned

This project highlighted the importance of SEO and accessibility from the start. Even small details like semantic HTML tags, alt text for images, and mobile-first typography can have a big impact on discoverability and usability. It was also a great exercise in communicating technical decisions.
